Sonia Sotomayor

This article entitled, “Analysis: What effect would Sotomayor have on high court?”, explores and analyzes the effect that Sonia Sotomayor would have on the U.S. Supreme Court. For those of you who don’t know, Sonia Sotomayor has been nominated by President Barack Obama to be appointed to the Supreme Court. If Sotomayor is approved, she not only will enjoy the respect and honor of being a part of the highest court in the nation and having a secure job for life, but she will also be the first Hispanic to be in the U.S. Supreme Court. Sotomayor would have the opportunity to be an important and influential member of the high court, and would have a large impact on the way law could affect the people of the United States.

However this hasn’t been an easy task for Sotomayor. Sotomayor, for the past four days, has attended hearings to determine whether she is suitable for this position on the Supreme Court. Please read the rest of the article (link is at bottom of page) and more at CNN.com to find out more about Sonia Sotomayor, and whether or not she will take a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court.
